MARK WILLITS, M.D.

Dr. Mark Willits is a fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric and adult orthopedic surgeon who has been in practice for more than 17 years with many of those spent working with patients in Florida.

Dr. Willits specializes in minimally invasive (endoscopic) spine surgery, extremity trauma surgery and interventional pain management procedures. He has extensive experience with case reviews, deposition testimonies and trials. Additionally, Dr. Willits has been deeply involved in the research and development of several surgical products, and has been director or a pediatric orthopedic surgery program.

Dr. Willits is one of only a handful of surgeons in the United States that performs cervical endoscopic surgery.

MIGUEL LIS-PLANELLS, M.D.

Dr. Lis-Planells is a nationally and internationally renowned neurosurgeon with over 25 years of experience. He obtained his medical degree from Our Lady of the Rosary University in Bogotá, Colombia and post-graduate training in Neurosurgery at the University of California Irvine and Wayne State University.

His professional affiliations included the Detroit Medical Center where he was Vice-Chair of Neurosurgery at Sinai-Grace Hospital for several years before coming to Florida.

Dr. Lis-Planells joined our staff in 2023 providing expert, compassionate care in Neurosurgery and Spine to our patients.

LUIS C. VERA, DC, FIACN, FIBE

Dr. Vera received his undergraduate from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He proceeded to obtain his degree in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. He is a Diplomate, Fellow, and board-certified Chiropractic Neurologist & Electromyographer. Dr. Vera has earned fellowships through the International Academy of Clinical Neurology and the International Board of Electrodiagnosis and went on to be a chairman of the latter organization. He has held teaching positions as Associate Professor at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus, Adjunct Clinical Faculty of Northwestern Health Sciences University and as Assistant Professor of Medical Education, serving as Volunteer Faculty at University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine.

Fun fact:  Dr. Vera  is a 3x Karate World Champion and also won the Grand Championship Award at the 2017 International Martial Arts Festival.

PHIL HELLER, DC

Dr. Heller received his undergraduate at Western Illinois University, and went on to study at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri where he attained his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He has amounted countless hours in continuing chiropractic practice and study, having worked with Premier Orthopedics for over 25 years. He is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Heller is well versed in handling a diverse variety of conditions, and offers a continuum of holistic treatments aimed in increasing his patient’s quality of life.
